Little Trooper

On Monday, Bristol had his surgery to fix his teeth. He did really good, so did mom. :) I told him about what would happen, and the whole time we were waiting he kept saying how excited he was to go to sleep so they could fix his teeth. He is such a good boy, we had to wait forever! His appointment was at noon, they told us to be there at 11:15. As soon as we got there, the took us back to the prep room and gave him a shirt and some socks. We sat there for an hour and a half. They finally took him back at 12:50. Poor little boy, he didn't get to eat anything since 9:30 the night before. They took him to the surgery room in a wagon, watching him go through those double doors was sad, but I am glad I didn't have to watch him go to sleep. That would have been hard.

The surgery lasted about an hour he had 7 cavities filled, and a root canal. He now has a silver cap, which he calls his pirate tooth. Poor little guy. He came out of surgery at 2, it was sad to see him on the bed just waking up. There were a few tears, he just kept saying he wanted to go home. 20 minutes, apple juice, and a popsicle later, we were able to go home. He was a little out of it. He kept saying he was dizzy and might be sick. He never threw up, and after about an hour he was back to his normal self. It was good, hopefully we won't have to go back!
